Following the CTIF Socialization event, the Academic Development Center (ADC) at Swiss German University (SGU) hosted the Teaching Innovation Info Session last week. This session provided SGU lecturers with practical insights into modern teaching methods, delivery strategies, and the effective use of technology to enhance learning outcomes.

The session explored various teaching approaches, highlighting the strengths of both teacher-centered and student-centered methods. Participants were guided on choosing the best teaching strategies tailored to lesson objectives, classroom settings, and student needs. Delivery methods, including synchronous, asynchronous, online, and blended learning, were also discussed, offering comprehensive guidance on optimizing instruction for diverse learning environments.
Additionally, the session introduced tools like Google Workspace for Education, Google Vids for interactive video content creation, and AutoProctor for secure online assessments. These resources aim to empower lecturers with cutting-edge technology to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
ADC extends its thanks to all attendees for their participation and enthusiasm. For those who missed the session, materials and resources are available on the Teaching Innovation Page. Stay tuned for upcoming ADC workshops to further enhance your teaching practices!
