On 21 January 2026, SGU lecturers participated in an exciting and highly interactive workshop focused on NotebookLM and Wayground (formerly Quizizz), two powerful digital platforms designed to transform teaching and learning experiences.
The workshop provided participants with hands-on exposure to NotebookLM, enabling them to explore innovative ways to generate reports, create professional slide decks, design infographics, and leverage a wide range of smart features to enhance lesson planning and content creation. Through guided practice, lecturers experienced how these tools can significantly reduce preparation time while elevating the quality and impact of their instructional materials.
Participants also discovered the dynamic capabilities of Wayground, where they learned to build engaging presentations, explore diverse question types, and seamlessly import existing questions and quizzes. The session highlighted how Wayground can be used to create interactive, student-centered learning experiences that promote participation, real-time feedback, and more effective assessment strategies.
This workshop successfully equipped lecturers with practical digital skills and fresh ideas for integrating technology into their classrooms. By the end of the session, participants were inspired and confident in applying NotebookLM and Wayground to create more engaging, efficient, and future-ready lectures.
