Session 2: Optimizing Assignments and Rubrics on Google Classroom

The afternoon session focused on maximizing the potential of Google Classroom for effective assignment design and feedback. We explored:

  • Assignment types: Sharing the assignment types that can enhance students learning experience and optimal student understanding.
  • Rubric development: Creating detailed, transparent rubrics aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Efficient grading: Utilizing Google Classroom’s features to streamline feedback and grading processes.

The workshop fostered a collaborative learning environment, with faculty sharing insights and best practices. The ADC is dedicated to providing ongoing support for SGU’s faculty in adopting innovative teaching and assessment methods. We look forward to seeing these tools implemented in your classrooms!
